Senior Data Scientist

My client is actively seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their expanding team. They are a dynamic fintech startup focused on developing the infrastructure for flexible payment solutions through their innovative SaaS platform.

About the Role:

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will take the lead on comprehensive projects, aiming to deliver data-driven solutions that optimize the consumer experience in the realm of flexible payment solutions. Your collaborative efforts will extend to working closely with product managers, data analysts, engineers, and the broader data science team.

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead data science initiatives for critical fintech products and features with a consumer-centric focus.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end data science process, leading exploration, ideation, modeling, testing, and implementation.
• Develop innovative solutions for emerging product opportunities through advanced data analysis.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, customer success, and other key stakeholders.
• Identify customer needs through comprehensive research and analysis of existing data.
• Utilize and enhance the internal data science framework to drive impactful insights.
• Uphold firm convictions on data science decisions to ensure the development of high-quality products.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing data science solutions for consumer-facing software.
• Proficiency in documenting and articulating your data science process, backed by a strong foundation in leveraging data for decision-making.
• Proven track record of working with data science frameworks and seamlessly integrating them into the product development and engineering lifecycle.
• Extensive knowledge of data science tools, statistical software, and interactive prototyping.
• Passion for developing data-driven solutions for SaaS products.
• Academic background: Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
